The Cordon absinthe glass is a faithful 19th century replica. Hand made with traditional iron oxide glass (has a slight greenish hue), this glass is a nice tall and sturdy piece of European history.
These glasses were called Cordon (string) because the reservoir part was marked with a string of glass above the bottom instead of the classic bubble shape.
The hand cut and polished base will make your undiluted absinthe shine like an emerald!
Note that the handmade nature of this glass can bring slight variations as well as tiny bubbles in the glass. The Cordon absinthe glass pairs really well with the 'balancier', but is slightly too large to be used with the cut glass 'brouilleur'.
