This see-saw dripping system with reservoir is designed to stand on an absinthe glass and to be filled with cold water. Water drips, one drop at a time, in the absinthe glass, providing a great "louche" (absinthe turning milky) and allowing the absinthe aroma to fill the air.
A sugar cube can be put at the bottom, which will slowly dissolve while the water is dripping. For efficiency reasons, the cube can be replaced by liquid sugar cane or powdered sugar.
Our model is designed after the Popular balancier made for the Cusenier brand in the 1900s. It will fit most glasses having a diameter up to 80 mm (3 1/4'').
Will you be getting more of these in stock? I would like to order one.
Yes. There has been a production delay on the Cusenier absinthe drippers to ensure quality of the mechanism. Although seemingly simple, the drops must alternate side and it requires quite a bit of fine tuning. They will be back in early spring. Kind regards.
