The Wine Preserver Private Preserve is a solution to reduce oxidation in opened bottles of wine. It simply contains inert gas that you inject into the bottle, to fill up the empty space with. According to the company itself: "Private Preserve is well suited to the preservation of Port, Sherry, single malts, single batch Bourbons, old Cognac, Sake, ultra-fine Tequila, and in the kitchen, fine cooking oils and vinegars." Well played, Private Preserve! Good for 120 uses.
Private Preserve is an American company from California. Scott Farmer, the creator of this revolutionnary wine preserver, came up with the idea as he was himself working in a vineyard and observing the use of inert gas to prevent the oxydation of the wine as it was aging in tanks or barrels. He elaborated the method, and it is now possible and easy to apply it to your own bottles at home.
