It makes for a perfect pairing with the classic Yarai Mixing Glass. Witness Japanese uniformity at its best with glassware of the same iconic beveled design. It will be perfect for an Old Fashioned or a Manhattan, and anything ''on the rocks'' you could think of.
Behind everything in the Japanese culture there is meaning and symbolism. The Yarai pattern on this mixing pitcher is no exception. The original word consists of 2 parts, “Ya (arrow) Rai (coming)”. Translated by one Japanese man, it would mean ''arrows coming through from the sky''. The tale says that the pattern is inspired by an old type of bamboo fence, common in Japan several hundreds of years ago. Today the Yarai fence is used to give an authentic look to a Japanese traditional garden.
Matching tumblers are also available.
