A Quebec twist on a New Orleans classic!
INGREDIENTS
- 2oz Whisky (we used Cirka #3)
- 1/2oz & 5 sprays Absinth (we used La Courailleuse)
- 1 brown sugar cube
- 5 dashes
Sombre et Amer Livia bitters - 1 orange zest
PREPARATION
- In an Old Fashioned glass, add 1/2oz absinth, ice and a little bit of water.
- Add 1/2oz whisky, orange zest and sugar cube to a
mixing glass andmuddle until the sugar has dissolved; - Add the remaining 1 1/2oz whisky to the mixing glass and stir with a
bar spoon until ice has slightly melted; - After discarding its content,
strain into the now empty Old Fashioned glass; - Add 5 sprays of absinth. Enjoy!
